Rarescale performs Makura Sadamemu at Iklectic, London : 16 July 2017
Rarescale invites you to an exploration of the sound worlds of low woodwinds (alto/bass flute and bass clarinet) and electronics. Each of the featured composers approaches the instruments in a different way, demonstrating the rich versatility of these deep-voiced instruments. Creative Coding in North East Schools
Very excited about my new AHRC funded project delivering workshops in Sonic Pi to schoolchildren here in North East England! Creative Coding in North East Schools (CCiNES) is about exposing students to the basics of computer programming by engaging their interest in music, whilst simultaneously developing their composition, listening, and performance skills outside traditional acoustic composition approaches. I kicked things off last month with workshops at Argyle House School, King James I Academy and Seaham School of Technology, and will be getting into many more schools over the coming months. Get in touch if you are interested in having this no-cost, high-impact workshop programme at your school!
